It's time to standardize Document Databases.
The OpenDocDB project initiates a collaborative effort to define an open standard for MongoDB-compatible document databases, partly inspired by the historical evolution of the SQL standard.
Uniting the Document Database Market
The OpenDocDB Workgroup is to bring the Document Database market together, in a joint effort to create an Open Standard, and a possible Reference Implementation for Document Databases.
Our goal is to reach our goals through inclusive collaboration. Together, we can shape the future of document database technology in a vendor-independent organization.
Our Goals
Establish a Compatible Core
Work together with industry leaders to develop a reference implementation for document databases.
Create a Draft Open Specification
Our workgroup values inclusivity and collaboration, regardless of past or future competition.
Ensure that the Draft Specification and any subsequent work will be governed by a Standardization Body at a vendor-neutral Foundation.
Keep it Open
